Skills You Have

  • Deep knowledge of acoustic fundamentals
  • Deep knowledge of audio measurement techniques and tools (Soundcheck, Audio Precision, etc)
  • Deep knowledge of digital audio and data protocols (I2S, I2C, SPI)
  • Deep knowledge of electrical audio architecture for embedded systems
  • Familiarity with voice DSP technologies and metrics
  • Familiarity with speaker subsystem design and validation
  • Familiarity with consumer headphone design and validation

Your Experience

  • You have a degree in engineering, physics, acoustics, or music
  • You have 4+ years working on audio subsystems for consumer or pro products
  • You have experience working as a consumer product, audio subject matter expert across discipines (acoustical/mechanical, electrical, DSP, etc)
  • You have helped ship multiple products with audio subsystems where you were in a lead or directly responsible capacity

You'll be Responsible For:

  • Owning client technical relationships
  • Owning ODM/JDM technical relationships
  • Managing and mentoring audio engineers
  • Making sure client projects run successfully
  • Communicating highly technical concepts and tasks between clients and internal engineering teams (remote and local)
  • Driving architecture and design decisions for complex consumer products
  • Delegating engineering tasks efficiently and effectively
  • Traveling to/for client programs, remote team management, JDM engagements
  • Creating and executing audio test plans and documentation
  • Evaluating and benchmarking transducers, audio converters, audio amplifiers, and other audio IC's
  • Evaluating and benchmarking audio DSP algorithms and new technologies
  • Managing and running failure analysis on products
  • Managing and running design of experiments for acoustic prototype permutations
  • Driving vendor technical relationships
  • Communicating highly technical concepts and test results to clients in an effective manner
